The Beata Clasp® came to life on December 31, 2004 when inventor Lenore T. Henning, a registered nurse who resides in Glen Ellyn, IL, first conceived of the idea. As a nurse for over 35 years, Lenore has first-hand knowledge of the problems that nurses and patients encounter on a daily basis. Lenore created the "Beata Clasp®" to solve the problem of tangled tubing and to increase patient safety and satisfaction.
"As a nurse clinician, I have witnessed my share of preventable injuries, and like all clinicians I am committed to reducing the accidental harms encountered by patients who trust us to keep them well. It will take the involvement of everyone – nurses, physicians, patients, hospitals, and others to prevent errors and improve the quality and safety of our health care system." - Lenore Henning, RN
