The Power of a Tribe: Nurse Entrepreneurs Leading the Way

Over the past two weeks, I traveled around the country for various speaking engagements and mastermind sessions. One of my favorites was with a group of nurse entrepreneurs who are revolutionizing healthcare with their innovative solutions.

Nurses make up nearly 30% of the healthcare workforce in the United States, and the time for nurse entrepreneurs is now. The passion, dedication, and expertise that nurses bring to the table are unparalleled. Their unique perspective on patient care and healthcare challenges positions them perfectly to drive innovation and positive change in the industry.

It's an exciting time for nurses to step into entrepreneurial roles, and the support within our community is stronger than ever. A new website, nursesfornurses.org, has launched to further unite us. This platform is designed to foster collaboration, support, and growth among nurse entrepreneurs. The networking and community spirit we’ve cultivated through humor and mentoring on social media are now expanding into this dedicated space.

Take Anne and Lenore Henning, for example. These two pioneering nurse entrepreneurs are making a significant impact with their invention, the Beata Clasp medical line organizer. Their vision is for nurses to introduce this practical tool into hospitals nationwide, improving patient care and efficiency. They also offer an affiliate marketing program, providing an opportunity for nurses to earn while promoting a product they believe in.

The energy and enthusiasm I felt from this group of nurse entrepreneurs were palpable. They were eager to connect, share experiences, and support each other. Many of them had been navigating their journeys alone, facing struggles and celebrating successes without a community. But together, their need for connection was met, and significant growth ensued.

Community is essential, especially one that shares your professional background, values, and goals. The community you belong to can either elevate you or hold you back. When you find one that lifts you up, lean in, embrace it fully, be vulnerable, and contribute.

If you’re looking for a supportive community of nurse entrepreneurs, visit nursesfornurses.org and join us. Together, we can achieve more and bring out the best in each other.
